2012 Tiguan production starts next month

VW has already stopped production on the current Tiguan and is gearing up to start production of the 2012 model. Expect  the new Tiguan to arrive in Q4 2011 with SEL models possibly being  delayed due to the quake in Japan.  The 2012 Tiguan brings and updated look and a more efficient drivetrain now rated at 29 MPG.

  1. How long of a wait to get the rear view camera feature back on these models? I heard it a short term supply issue and they are working on fixing it very soon. Audi and Porsche is also affected by the same problem.

  2. Thanks for the update- I’m excited to see the new Tiguan. I was reading a review of it on the Bob Penkhus Motors blog and it sounds like it’s a lot of fun behind the wheel.
