UPDATE: according to my sources at VW, this is a chinese built model and does not reflect what our 2011 Tiguan will look like. sorry folks, move along nothing to see here.

  1. Hi, thought I´d just let you americans know that the DSG gearbox is replacing the Tiptronic one in the Tiguan this summer (Europe).

  2. That’s great! What is it? Forget the gear box, how about a Tiguan TDI ?

  3. Hey great site!
just curious if you think the next gen Tiguan (USA) might have improved gas mileage over the 19/24 its currently rated at? the 2.0T is great! but esp when competitors like Honda and even Hyundai are offering upwards of 31MPG for a base model 4. granted they arent turbo charged, but would VW ever give up the T for MPG?

  4. Hi Jay,
I found your website that is currently the only one post news about 2011 Tiguan. I’m in Taiwan and was going to replace my old car with Tiguan. Last week I visited VW show room and the salesman told me VW has sold out the 2010 Tiguan so I will get 2011 edition.
According your update it’s a China modal and CHINESE BUILT, I’m wondering if you know that VW in Europe or USA still have 2010 Tiguan on the market which is made in Germany (or anywhere else but China) bcs I’m not confident with Chinese quality…..

  5. jay, when we will see the “official” pics of the NA 2011 Tiguan?
